A peculiar development has recently developed in Los Angeles that will make every Angels fan quiver with jitters.

Mike Trout was pulled from Saturday's clash against the Mariners after just two innings of play. And it took far too long for the team to update everyone on the reason why.

While we presumed that the superstar outfielder suffered a minor knock and wasn't removed for personal reasons, Twitter instead decided that of course Trout, who'd just signed a 50-year extension (estimate) was traded to their team.

That could work.

That won't work.

Luckily, we can cut the nonsense trade requests off at the head.

MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger has just updated Trout's status and has confirmed that the two-time American League MVP was dealing with right calf tightness and is only expected to miss a few days.

And that sound you hear is Angels Nation and (every baseball fan in general really) breathing a sigh of relief. The game should have its best player on the field for every game.

Hopefully the eight-time All-Star suffers no setbacks and is able to dominate on the diamond after a few days rest.
