Mike Fiers Won't Back up Carlos Correa Claim That Jose Altuve Didn't Use Illegal Sign-Stealing Technology

The Houston Astros continue to dig their hole a bit deeper with each non-apologetic statement that comes out of their mouth, and shortstop Carlos Correa has taken charge in that effort.

Correa claimed that Jose Altuve did not partake in any of the illicit means that the Astros used to steal signs and alert hitters of the incoming pitch, which seems hard to believe given how it would be strange that one person, the team's best player, didn't steal signs while everyone else did. Whistleblower and Oakland A's pitcher Mike Fiers did not support nor deny that claim, only adding that the Astros "cheated as a team."

Correa, who has been running his mouth over the last few days as he attacked several players who had the audacity to give their unfiltered opinions on exactly how the Astros have rubbed them the wrong way, insists that Altuve is clean, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

In fact, Altuve might have had the help of a "buzzer" that alerted him of what pitch was coming when he took on Aroldis Chapman in Game 6 of the ALCS.

The worst part of this whole ordeal is none of this gets mentioned if not for Fiers' bravery.

What Fiers did finally helped the public at large see what the Astros have been up to over the last few seasons. While it seems hard to believe, Fiers might not have fully pulled back the curtain, as there could be even more Astros secrets lurking underneath.
