Former Georgia Assistant Mike Bobo Returning to SEC as South Carolina Offensive Coordinator
By Michael Luciano

Mike Bobo was not in the unemployment line for long, as he jumped right back to his roots in the South after being let go in Fort Collins.
Bobo was fired after five years as the head coach at Colorado State, but will now link up with Will Muschamp for his next gig, as he has been named offensive coordinator at South Carolina.
#SouthCarolina set to hire Mike Bobo as offensive coordinator. Deal expected to be two years at more than $1 million per year. Bobo's separation agreement with Colorado State will pay him $1.975 million guaranteed over the next three years. https://t.co/3Zla862N70

Bobo will be in charge of continuing Ryan Hilinski's growth as a signal-caller in America's toughest conference.
Himself a former SEC quarterback at Georgia, Bobo was named the Buldogs' QB coach in 2001, and was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2007, where he helped get Matthew Stafford and Knowshon Moreno picked in the first round of the NFL Draft.
Bobo's CSU Rams started off with three straight 7-6 seasons and bowl appearances, but just seven wins combined in his last two years prompted his firing.
At Colorado State, Bobo helped push the likes of Shaquil Barrett, Olabisi Johnson, and Preston Williams to the NFL.
Hey #GamecockNation, Mike Bobo had six top 16 ranked offenses in the S&P in 8 seasons as OC at UGA, and four times finished in the top 10. To me, that's something to get excited about. @CoachWMuschamp made a Grand Slam hire here.

Yes, he did tell Deshaun Watson that he wasn't good enough to play at Georgia, but hopefully his time in Fort Collins has molded him into a better coach. He'll have his chance to show it in Columbia.
