Mickey Callaway's Moronic Comparison Between Mets and Indians Proves He's Totally Lost

Miami Marlins v New York Mets
Miami Marlins v New York Mets / Jim McIsaac

It's one thing to make outlandish remarks to rationalize his questionable-at best managing strategy. But to swiftly compare his current New York Mets team to the 2017 Cleveland Indians, when the two have absolutely NOTHING in common, is inexcusable and proves that Mickey Callaway (once again) has no idea what he's talking about.

Mickey correlated the 2019 Mets to the 2017 Indians, claiming that The Tribe couldn't get to a few games over .500 before they rattled off a remarkable 22 games in a row.

For starters, Callaway was completely oblivious of the fact that Cleveland was 13 games over .500 before the streak. On top of that, the second-year manager proceeded to foolishly claim that his Mets will take off once they reach .500, a place they haven't been since the third week of the season.

Oh Mickey, you really are making it too easy for us.

Comparing two ball clubs without doing proper research is moronic in and of itself. But to infer that the Mets identity is so identical to the 2017 Indians should be considered a fireable offense.

Additionally, he wasn't even the manager of that team! He was the pitching coach! How much pull could he have possibly had in that winning streak?

Don't worry, Mets fans. That 22-game winning streak is surely right around the corner!

Ya Gotta Believe.
