Michigan OC Making Big Change to Hopefully Inspire Offense Against Rutgers
By Parker White

The Michigan Wolverines are 2-1 entering Saturday's game against Rutgers, but if you've seen them play, they have not looked that good, especially on the offensive side of the football.
Michigan ranks 95th nationally on the offensive side of the ball, which is why there will be a change happening come Saturday. Wolverines offensive coordinator Josh Gattis said pre-game that he'll be on the sidelines for the first time this year.
#Michigan OC Josh Gattis told U-M radio pregame that he will call plays from the field today, a departure from the first three games.

The first-year Michigan coordinator spent the first three games of the season in the coaches box, but he'll be on the sidelines to be closer to his players.
“They’re used to be being on the field in practice, calling plays for them,” Gattis said. “It’ll be no different than that scenario. Strongly leaning toward it, and slept on it all week long, going through my mind, and it’s about what these kids need most."
More on Josh Gattis' decision to call plays from the field today. A cosmetic move more than anything, but it puts him closer to the Michigan players. https://t.co/lfeDfuvqS2

The change likely won't result in the offense playing exponentially better, especially since they are playing against Rutgers team that's lost to Boston College and Iowa.
But hey, if his presence will help quarterback Shea Patterson or any of their other skill players, go ahead. It's desperate times for Michigan and everything is on the table, no matter how big or small.
