Early Wednesday morning, perhaps no one is happier in the NFL world than Michael Thomas. On the other end, no one is arguably more miserable than Jerry Jones. Why, you ask?

In case you missed it, Thomas just signed a monster contract extension with the Saints, earning him $20 million a season. It's no doubt set a precedent for top receivers out there. You better believe Cooper and his agents have taken notice of this.

This kind of money is straight up nuts, but you can't deny Thomas is one of the top receivers in the game. The same can be said for Cooper, who is a bonafide stud for the Cowboys offense. He proved that the second he was traded to Big D from Oakland.

Though Cooper isn't holding out in hopes of a new contract right now, he wants his cash soon. And for Jones, he's already got Ezekiel Elliott working out in Mexico instead of camp as part of his holdout, with quarterback Dak Prescott also waiting for his monster payday.

Cooper refusing to hold out and showing up for camp proves he's ready to put the team first and worry about his money later. At the same time, however, he wants to be paid like a No. 1 receiver.

With this latest Thomas deal now in the books, Jones will have to either come quite close, or top it if he wants to keep No. 89 happy in town. All eyes are on you, Jerry.
