The Manny Diaz era has officially come to a close for the Miami Hurricanes. On Monday morning, Pete Thamel has reported that UM has indeed parted ways with the head coach.
Now, the search for a replacement begins, but the major feeling across the country is that Mario Cristobal of Oregon will be the one to take over. It could just be a matter of time before that's announced.
Diaz just wasn't a good fit for Miami. The program is hoping to get back to an elite level, and Diaz couldn't get that job done. It'll now be on (likely) Cristobal to try and make that happen.
