Mets OF Michael Conforto Diagnosed With Concussion After Nasty Collision With Robinson Cano
By Parker White

Not only did the New York Mets lose a nail-biter against the Washington Nationals on Thursday, but they lost a couple of their regulars, including outfielder Michael Conforto.
Conforto left in the fifth inning after colliding with second baseman Robinson Cano, and he's officially been diagnosed with a concussion.

It looked pretty bad initially, as Conforto took a shot to the face from Cano and looked out cold for a couple seconds. Obviously, there's no timetable for something like this, but it's not outlandish to expect Conforto to be out for several days.
This injury came two innings after he belted a three-run homer to tie the game at four.

Conforto wasn't the only member of the Mets to leave Thursday's game, as utility man Jeff McNeil left the game with abdominal tightness.
What was once a promising start to the Mets' season has now turned into one characterized by injuries (once again), a stagnant offense and an ineffective bullpen.
