Mel Kiper Jr. has Caleb Williams going to Chicago in new Mock Draft
This wouldn't be a stunner at all
It's only a matter of time before Caleb Williams packs his bags and makes the move for The Windy City. The USC quarterback has long been labeled as the best prospect for the 2024 NFL Draft class and it's not a stunner that Mel Kiper Jr. agrees.
In his latest mock draft, the ESPN draft guru has Williams going off the board No. 1 overall to the Chicago Bears. Chicago needs a star QB and that's exactly what they'll be getting in Williams once April 25 gets here.

This is a no-brainer pick. Williams is the best quarterback in this class, and the Bears need a franchise passer to build around.

It feels like it has been forever since the Bears had a franchise-changing QB. The Mitchell Trubisky pick in the first round was a joke, but something tells us Chicago will have different luck once Williams makes his way to town.
