Kyle Rudolph had a banner day on Sunday for the Vikings, and it looks like one media member took advantage of his good mood in the game's aftermath.

After catching the game-winning TD in overtime against the Saints, Rudolph was asked by an unidentified member of the media if he'd be willing to give up his game-worn gloves so they could be auctioned off for charity. Rudolph obliged, and even offered to sign the item to increase their value.

A mere three days later, they've been sold on eBay for... less than charitable purposes.

This is incredibly frustrating for many reasons, but this lack of integrity is antithetical to the profession of journalism itself. Sportswriters aren't fans, and credentialed media members have both reputation and decorum to uphold. "No autographs for personal purposes" is a pretty hard and fast rule, and a violation is generally meant to be grounds for a ban.

More bluntly than that, though...it just sucks.

Rudolph created a memory on Sunday, triumphing against long odds in a road postseason game. We're sure he'd have loved to keep all pieces and props associated with that game in-house, but instead decided to be a good guy and help a charitable cause thrive.

Instead, he was hoodwinked.

Any chance the buyer can get Rudolph his gloves back?
