For the first time this season, the Dallas Mavericks and the Detroit Pistons will be facing off on Thursday night.
However, this game is not being played at the American Airlines Center (Mavs home court) or the Little Caesars Arena (Pistons home court). It is being played in Mexico City, as part of the NBA's Mexico City games.

The game will start at 9 p.m. ET and can be seen on Fox Sports Detroit in Detroit and Fox Sports Southwest in Dallas. One can also watch the game via the NBA reddit streams community.

The Mavs have been on a roll this season, surprising many on their way to a 16-7 record, which is good for third in the tough Western Conference. Luka Doncic has exceeded all possible expectations, averaging 30 points, 9.8 rebounds and 9.2 assists in just his second season in the NBA.

The Pistons, on the other hand, are struggling. The $170 million player they traded for, Blake Griffin, has been injured half of the year and hasn't been the same force he was last year. It is safe to say this is not what management had in mind when they traded for Griffin, as the team is sporting a 10-14 record on the season and are sitting outside the playoffs in the East.
This should make for a very intense game, as the Mavericks will try to keep up their great play to start the season while the Pistons are fighting to get back on track.
