Matt Nagy Acknowledges Bears LB Danny Trevathan May Hit Injured Reserve With Elbow Injury

Things finally started to turn around for the Chicago Bears, but there's yet another obstacle to overcome.
Chicago squeezed out a hard-fought victory against the Detroit Lions, only to have linebacker Danny Trevathan suffer a nasty elbow injury on a sack attempt.

Yikes, that's hard to watch.
So to nobody's surprise, head coach Matt Nagy announced on Monday that there's a possibility Trevathan will hit injured reserve despite the fact he was questionable to return during the game.
Coach Nagy acknowledges IR could be in the discussion for Danny Trevathan following "not real pretty" elbow injury.

This is a tough blow for Chicago fans, as things were just starting to look up for the team after a pitiful four-game losing streak.
Though losing a defender isn't nearly as significant as losing an offensive player for the Bears, Trevathan's absence will be a rough one for this strong unit.

Hopefully the Bears can carry Sunday's momentum into the next week and get someone to step up in Trevathan's place.
