Matt LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers Need to Get on the Same Page to Sustain Packers Success

It didn't take long for Aaron Rodgers to be visibly frustrated with his new head coach.

Near the end of the second quarter between the Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings game, Rodgers was clearly unhappy with the fact that he was forced to throw the ball away because he could not find an open receiver. He immediately yelled at Matt LaFleur, telling him "what do you want me to do?"

As the second quarter drew to a close, a 21-0 Packers lead quickly sudden became 21-10. With LaFleur and Rodgers not in sync, this seemed like a recipe for a Kirk Cousins come-from-behind victory. However, that never came to pass, as Rodgers and the Packers held on for dear life to win 21-16, pushing them to 2-0 on the season.

LaFleur's offense has been fairly rocky the past couple of weeks, as the Packers opened with -12 yards in the first quarter of the season opener against the Chicago Bears. That marks the lowest total yards in any quarter for Green Bay in 25 years. The following week, they failed to score at all in the second half, and would have lost if it wasn't for an interception and fumble by Cousins in the fourth quarter.

Rodgers and LaFleur are absolutely going to have their growing pains as the first year duo learns to work together. However, if the Packers have any playoff aspirations at all, they'll need to learn how to work together, and quickly.
