Massive OT Commits to LSU Over Offers From Florida, Georgia and Others
By Will Fowler

LSU has added a big piece to its 2020 class, as offensive tackle Marlon Martinez has announced his verbal commitment to the Tigers over more than 20 other offers.
Martinez, a three-star recruit out of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was a heavily-touted recruit. Aside from LSU, Martinez had tenders from Ohio State, Florida, Georgia, Syracuse, UCF, plus others.

One reason why Martinez was such a hot commodity among the biggest schools in the nation was his frame. Standing at 6-5, 290 pounds, the offensive tackle already looks over opposing defensive linemen -- and with room to grow.
You simply can't teach that kind of size.

This is a big pickup for the Tigers -- despite not losing any linemen to the NFL Draft, four of LSU's five projected starters on the offensive line are juniors or seniors. Martinez is definitely one for the future. He'll be one to watch.
