In the wake of an influx of injuries to the team's top three running backs, the Seattle Seahawks are reportedly looking to bring in a familiar face to help alleviate these losses.

Marshawn Lynch is reportedly on his way to meet with team officials in Seattle regarding a potential comeback, following his second hiatus from the sport.

Following injuries to Chris Carson and C.J Prosise in Sunday's loss to the Arizona Cardinals, the Seahawks were down to just one healthy running back on their roster in rookie Travis Homer. With the team facing off with the San Francisco 49ers next weekend, in a game with the NFC West title on the line, the return of Lynch could significantly alter the results of their matchup, as well as energize the fans in a way we certainly didn't think possible.

Lynch last played professional football for the Raiders in 2018, rushing for 376 yards in six games before being placed on injured reserve. While we all thought the Beast Mode era had ended with Lynch's latest retirement, this potential return to Seattle before the playoffs could wind up being one of the best storylines to follow in these last few weeks of the football season.

Both sides are open to it, and will be talking today. Couldn't ask for anything more ahead of a post-Christmas Week 17!
