New Mariners OF Jose Siri Says He Purposely Bat Flips on Pitchers if They're Racist
By Mark Powell

Mariners outfielder Jose Siri, whom Seattle claimed off waivers just days ago, isn't messing around.
Per an interview with Cespedes BBQ, Siri made his opinion on bat-flipping very, very clear.
Here’s a picture with me and newest Mariner Jose Sirí from the dominican winter league. Dude is a one of a kind personality. As high energy as they come. A true character.

He also told me “If I think a pitcher is racist, I bat flip on purpose.” pic.twitter.com/QI3aXJIhwd
That's one way to deem judgement upon an opposing pitcher.
Siri is just 24 years old from the Dominican Republic. He's had relative success in the minor leagues, and could very well finally earn his opportunity with a rebuilding Seattle Mariners team.
Wishing the best of luck to former Dragons outfielder Jose Siri ('16-'17) as he begins the next chapter in his career with the @Mariners! Siri's MWL record 39-game hit streak is one of the most memorable milestones in Dragons history.

Seattle's outfield depth will be tested early, especially with Mitch Haniger's injury issues. Siri could earn a chance out of Spring Training, which would've been unthinkable with the Reds after their impressive offseason.
Should Siri receive the chance he covets, he won't be afraid to pimp a home run early and often. In seven minor league seasons, Siri only hit 68 home runs. He's a decent power bat, but nothing opposing pitchers will fear in the box. All this in mind, we won't blame him for showing off a bit.
