Madden Curse Hits Next Level With Amazing Detail on Antonio Brown Cover
By Sean Facey

The Madden curse is one of the most well-documented hexes in recent sports history. Many of the athletes who have graced the cover of the game have either been injured or fallen into irrelevance soon after being featured.
But Madden 19 played the long game and struck with extreme precision. The cover athlete, Antonio Brown, was notably sidelined with frostbite earlier in the month.
What's incredibly bizarre is that the software engine Madden uses to enhance its graphics is actually called Frostbite. While folks thought AB was in the clear for the Madden curse, it looks like he was hit with the most ironic dose of the malediction.

Brown, of course, suffered severe frostbite on his feet following a cryotherapy session that could end up holding him out of action for quite some time.
You seriously can't make this stuff up, folks. It almost makes you wonder if players will start second-guessing being the star athlete for the game.
Patrick Mahomes, the man on the front of Madden 20, might be best served wrapping himself up in bubble wrap every time he even gets close to a football. After seeing what happened to Brown, it's probably best not to take any chances.
It's that time of the year: #Madden20 is out.

Will #Chiefs QB @PatrickMahomes fall victim to the Madden curse? ?

Fortune just doesn't seem to favor the cover athletes. Brown seemed to be in the clear heading into the 2019 season and he still ended up getting snake-bitten by the curse.
His poor luck and that of others before him should serve as a cautionary tale to both Mahomes and any future players that end up being considered for the role.
