Loser of Alabama vs LSU Has Clear Path to College Football Playoff
By Parker White

The top two teams in the country, LSU and Alabama, square off this weekend in Tuscaloosa for an SEC showdown. The winner of this game likely takes the conference assuming they can get past Georgia or Florida.
Of course, you would think the loser of this game would be eliminated from the College Football Playoff, but think again. This is the SEC we're talking about.

LSU and Alabama are two of five undefeated teams that have a realistic shot at making the CFP considering Ohio State and Penn State square off in November.
Yes, there are some extremely talented one-loss teams like Oregon, Georgia, Utah and Oklahoma, but unless LSU or Alabama blows the other team out on Saturday, whoever looses is still a step above any of those aforementioned teams.
Alabama is set as a 6.5-point favorite against LSU this weekend.

This is the fewest points Alabama has been favored by at home since November 5th 2011 when they were 5.5-point home favorites to LSU.
Alabama went on to lose the game 9-6.
Alabama has been the gold standard during Nick Saban's tenure with the Crimson Tide, but there's no doubt LSU is just as talented this year, if not better.
It's all about having the four best teams compete for a national title, right? Then the committee needs to do the right thing and look at whoever loses with an objective frame of mind. College football fans don't want to see two teams from the same conference, but if two of the best teams in the country reside in the SEC, they should be in there. Period.
