ESPN's College GameDay flaunts many compelling segments, but nothing compares to their weekly feature of inviting a surprise celebrity game-picker.

Of course, Reece Davis and Co. will be in Columbus for Saturday's mouth-watering Big Ten showdown between No. 2 Ohio State and No. 9 Penn State.

Given the endless list of stars that have passed through the Ohio State's program, there was simply no predicting what former Buckeye GameDay would have on set. Unfortunately for all of the college football fans out there, Saturday's guest has been leaked ahead of time.

The guest will be former star tailback Eddie George, according to the Columbus-based newspaper.

Did local newspapers suddenly forget the meaning of a surprise? George walking on stage would have been a surreal moment for the thousands of fans that made their way to the GameDay set in the wee hours of the morning to nab a decent view.

Think about it, folks.

Think about the sheer sensation Ohio State students and fans would feel upon witnessing a Buckeyes legend that compiled close to 4,000 rushing yards and 44 touchdowns across his four seasons in Columbus strut onto the GameDay scene.

Thanks to a local outlet likely itching to be the first to break the news, the surprise is ruined. This is why we can't have nice things.

This isn't George's first time as Ohio State's guest picker. The former tailback featured in 2017 ahead of the Buckeyes loss to Oklahoma. He'll be hoping for a better conclusion this time around.
