After losing 3-0 to Burnley in their first match of the season, things won't get much easier for Ralph Hasenhüttl and Southampton, as they now have to face the Champions League winners in Liverpool, fresh off a UEFA Super Cup win over Chelsea.

The best players for Southampton all lie in midfield, as tempo-setter James Ward-Prowse, defensive mid Oriol Romeu and captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will all line up in the center of the pitch. Their attacking options, led by Danny Ings, Che Adams and Shane Long, will determine if the Saints can pull off the upset.
