For the first time in quite some time, it does not seem like a forgone conclusion that Liverpool will emerge victorious in this contest. After a shock 1-0 defeat to Athletico Madrid, and then an even more shocking 3-0 loss to relegation-threatened Watford, Liverpool appear unsettled for the first time this season. Defensive frailties have enhanced themselves in recent weeks, and without the attack looking as potent as in the earlier parts of the season, the European champions will need to put in a strong shift to maintain their status in the FA Cup.

Rather than discuss the attack, this game will be won in the midfield. James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum will have a massive task on hand to control the center of the pitch and stuff any counter-attacking opportunities. Look for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to shoulder some of the responsibility as well.

Frank Lampard's first season in charge of Chelsea has been marred by many star players suffering injuries, including long-term ailments to Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Tammy Abraham will also be absent for the game, leaving Lampard with many attacking questions about how to solve the Liverpool defense, which is led by Ballon D'or runner-up Virgil Van Dijk.

It should be a fascinating contest, with both teams desperate to get a result and chase after domestic silverware.
