Liverpool officially eliminated by Atalanta in the Europa League
It was a night to forget in Italy for LFC
The farewell tour for Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp is not going according to plan. It has been a rough few weeks for LFC, as they've been knocked out of the FA Cup, followed by dropping points in the Premier League title race to Manchester United and Crystal Palace.
On Thursday night in Italy, things got worse for Klopp, as LFC was able to beat Atalanta 1-0, but they lost on aggregate 3-1 in the Europa League quarterfinals. Just like that, another trophy is off the table for the squad.

After winning the Carabao Cup in the winter, Liverpool had dreams of winning four titles in Klopp's final season with the team. Instead, they're now hoping they can somehow win the league to salvage things, but Thursday's exit from the Europa League no question stings.
