Liverpool and Arsenal tie 1-1 in thrilling match at Anfield

The Gunners were able to grab a tough point on the road

You just knew it was going to be a thrilling showdown at Anfield between Liverpool FC and Arsenal on Saturday. In a contest that had title implications, Arsenal and Liverpool ended things tied at 1-1 - this was a showdown that Arsenal is happier about, no doubt.

This is the second consecutive home game LFC wasn't able to grab all of the three points in, as they drew with Manchester United 0-0 last Sunday. They have a chance to finish the weekend at the top of the table, but it's Arsenal which remains at the No. 1 spot.

Gabriel opened the scoring in the fourth minute for the Gunners, but Mo Salah was able to even things up later on in the first half. Trent Alexander-Arnold was able to rattle the bar, but neither side was able to score the winner. Now, this title race is only going to heat up the rest of the way.
