The internet has connected millions of people and created a hub of mankind's collective knowledge. However, one of its greatest accomplishments is allowing athletes and coaches to create hilariously defensive twitter accounts, which only get exposed months down the line. The latest case of internet Scooby Doo mask-pulling has Lions fans thinking that tight end Eric Ebron might be more than a little upset about his time in Detroit.

It started with Twitter user @WorldofIsaac claiming that Ben Roethlisberger only likes Ebron because "he's never thrown him a pass". This prompted "Shannon Grant," a user with one follower, to erupt in a series of tweets about how the Lions are apparently not a real franchise with a poor quarterback and an overrated coach.

The tirade was extremely defensive of Ebron for a user who is clearly not a fan of the Detroit Lions. According to the user, Ebron has "12 million reasons" not to care about the thoughts of some guy on Twitter. Which begs the question, why does Shannon Grant care this deeply about Ebron? Whoever they are, they have since deleted their account since the accusation that it was a burner went up.

And yes, Ebron's Twitter style is similar to that of the supposed burner.

His 12 million reasons came in the form of dollars, of course, when the Steelers signed him this offseason. Since then, he has definitely defended himself on his verified Twitter account.

Whether it's Ebron or not, the string of tweets was hilariously defensive, and the idea that another multi-millionaire could make a fake account to call out a small, lousy tweet is all the entertainment we need out of not-Eric Ebron right now.
