Lionel Messi finalizing new FC Barcelona deal

For all of the FC Barcelona fans who have been worried that Lionel Messi could be leaving Catalonia during the summer transfer window, it doesn't look like that will be happening. Messi is here to stay.

According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Messi and Barcelona are finalizing a new deal that will keep him with the team through the 2022-23 season. This of course is huge news for the La Liga giants.

Lionel Messi will extend his contract with Barcelona until June 2023, all parties involved have no doubt - but there are still some clauses to be fixed in the contract ‘structure’. ???? #Messi

While reports had stated that Messi was eyeing a move to PSG, Manchester City and others, that won't be happening. Messi will be ready to try and win the La Liga crown with Barca come next season.
