Lenny Dykstra is at it again.

The former MLB All-Star and World Series Champion with the 1986 Mets is back making headlines. At least the latest news isn't for anything super controversial, but rather an entirely joyous bit of nonsense.

TMZ Sports is reporting that Dykstra signed a deal last week to participate in Damon Feldman's Celebrity Boxing promotion that will be held in September.

The former athlete will take on Chris Morgan, better known as Bagel Boss Guy. Morgan went viral earlier this summer for his misogynistic freakout in a New York Bagel shop.

Of course, this battle of wits will be refereed by none other than...Bam Margera?! Why on Earth? Let's check in on him...

Oh.

Dykstra played 12 years in the majors with Mets and Phillies, picking up 1,298 hits with a .285/.375/.419 slash line.

However, his post playing days have been mired with controversies and legal troubles.

Many former athletes go into coaching or join their former teams in special front office positions. While Dykstra's inclusion in the boxing promotional event is far from illegal, it's indicative of how many strange turns his life has taken since the 1993 World Series.
