Legendary Raiders CB and Hall of Famer Willie Brown Passes Away

Tragic news has struck the Oakland Raiders organization and the NFL world in general, as the former Hall of Fame cornerback Willie Brown passed away on Tuesday.
Raiders insider Scott Bair reported the news mid-afternoon.
I've been told that Raiders legend and HOF cornerback Willie Brown has died. Such a great guy. Great ambassador for the organization. Tough news for the entire Raiders family.

“Willie Brown will forever be cherished as a true Raider," the Raiders said in a statement. "He exemplified the Raider spirit, originally entering the AFL as an undrafted free agent out of Grambling State before joining the Silver and Black in 1967. He remained an integral part of the organization through six decades."
Brown was an incredible player, winning three Super Bowls, making four Pro Bowls and recording 54 interceptions over the course of his career. His iconic pick in Super Bowl XI, which he took back 75 yards for a touchdown, will never be forgotten.
Brown became the defensive backs coach for Oakland after his retirement, and then later rejoined the organization as the director of staff development up until his death.
But even more admirable is how much of a class act Brown was off the field. He was always a fan favorite, taking time out of his day to interact with supporters.
Rest In Peace #Raiders legend Willie Brown. I’ve had the pleasure of talking to him at the NFL drafts, on the sidelines and even at the Pro Bowls. Really nice man, always took the time for the fans.
