Many thought 2019 could have been a lot better, so with the coming of New Year's Day came numerous declarations that 2020 was going to be year. So far, unfortunately, the new calendar year has been a rough one. If you needed further proof, the current coronavirus pandemic has now robbed us of the needed distractions of the NBA, NHL, and MLS entirely until further notice.

With the nation and the world fearful about this current outbreak, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry had the perfect quote about how terrible this year has been.

"2020 ain't it," said Curry. "Don't know what to compare this situation to...just gotta buckle up and take care of yourself and those around you."

Couldn't have said it better ourselves, Steph. We're all still mourning Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, and the seven other victims of January's Calabasas helicopter crash. Now, the distractions we so profoundly needed to help us cope with the sadness are gone until further notice. And on that note, LeBron James provided his own two cents on the ongoing struggles around America and the world as the pandemic takes hold.

Like many other prominent figures, Curry and LeBron want everyone to know to play it safe and take necessary measures until this outbreak blows over. In the meantime, its on us to find some new distractions.
