The Los Angeles Lakers have dominated through the early goings of the 2019-20 season, in most part due to the acquisition of big man Anthony Davis. On Wednesday night, Davis makes his return to New Orleans to face the Pelicans for the first time since his exit from the Big Easy.

Hours before the big game, teammate LeBron James' Instagram story suggests that he's out for revenge against the Pelicans, as he hashtagged RevengeSeason while saying "it's going to get pretty bad out there."

Let's get this straight, the Lakers are making this game a bigger deal than the Pelicans are. Is it because James and the Lakers didn't get their way when trying to acquire Davis last season?

While one would think Davis would be the only one beefing with his former team, James shows up just in time to help add more allure to an already intriguing matchup.

James using "#WashedKing"on his story also points to him attempting to silence his critics, as he's already a favorite for NBA MVP this season.

The Pelicans on the other hand, are treating this like any other game. New Orleans waited patiently, despite Davis' refusal to play for the team, and collected a kings ransom from the Lakers for AD's services ahead of the 2019 NBA Draft.

Davis got what he wanted, and that's to become a Los Angeles Laker. He does, however, express regret at how he requested his move out of the Big Easy. Either way, the crowd reaction in New Orleans could be similar to LeBron James' return to Cleveland back in 2010 as a member of the Miami Heat.
