Latest Hire Made by Jets Front Office Proves Franchise is a Merry-Go-Round of Incompetence

The latest stretch of New York Jets buffoonery came when they fired GM Mike Maccagnan after letting him spend money in free agency and run the draft. While the hire of former Eagles executive Joe Douglas was widely praised, their hire of Colts VP of player personnel Rex Hogan as assistant GM proves they still don't know what they're doing.

This is Hogan's second stint with the Jets. Who brought him in the first time around? None other the Mike Maccagnan.

After firing a lousy GM, the Jets decided to hire someone the lousy GM brought in to run the team with their new GM. It's front office Inception.

While Hogan has had a fine track record of success in Indianapolis, Christopher Johnson's latest hire is adding another voice in the room rather than trusting Douglas' judgement. This can and will lead to confrontation.

They can dress themselves up with all the Sam Darnold and Le'Veon Bell they want, but they're still the same old Jets at heart. Whatever Hogan's individual merits as a scout or executive, Jets fans still aren't exactly bursting with confidence with regards to their front office.
