Lane Johnson and Eagles Teammates Defend Dallas Goedert After He Was Sucker Punched at Restaurant

Someone in South Dakota had better watch out, because Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson is ready to take revenge on whoever punched tight end Dallas Goedert while he was at dinner with his family Saturday night.

The punch was apparently unprovoked, so we can only assume that Goedert's assailant had tight end Zach Ertz in their fantasy football league last season. They're going to have bigger issues soon, though, because Lane Johnson tweeted that he'd be there to back Goedert up.

Johnson is 6-6 and 310 pounds, and Goedert is no shrimp either at 6-5 and 256 pounds. That is not a duo we would want coming after us.

Johnson wasn't the only Eagles player ready to put up for his teammate. Cornerbacks Avonte Maddox and Rasul Douglas also tweeted their support for Goedert.

This must have been a scary experience for Goedert and his family, but we love to see that the other Eagles have his back. Hopefully we'll see that bond translate into some stellar on-field chemistry when the NFL returns.
