To say that Lamar Jackson put the NFL on notice in his first game of the 2019 season on Sunday truly wouldn't even begin to describe his performance.

The 22-year-old gunslinger brought out new tricks against the Miami Dolphins, doing virtually all of his work with his supposed suspect arm. He completed 10 of his 11 pass attempts for 210 yards and FOUR touchdowns as Baltimore built a 42-10 leaf at halftime in South Beach.

Jackson was ultimately replaced by backup Robert Griffin III in the fourth quarter but finished the day 17-of-20 for 324 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions. In case you were wondering, that equates to a PERFECT 158.3 passer rating.

And thus ended the narrative that Lamar is a run-dominant QB. What should absolutely terrify Ravens future opponents is the fact that the Louisville product didn't even use his legs in this one, totaling six yards on three carries.

Sure, the Dolphins will end up with the league's worst record this season, but it's still an extreme rarity to see a stat line similar to the one that Jackson posted on Sunday.

If Jackson going out and recording a perfect passer rating in his first game following the year where endless critics mocked his lack of arm talent isn't the perfect way to kick off the 2019 campaign, then nothing is.
