Welp, this one appears to be all but over before it even tips off. But the NBA's a "make or miss league," and that's why they actually play the games. The Lakers are the clear favorite in a battle of first vs. second-to-last in the Western Conference.
LeBron James exerted his consistent dominance into another year with a triple-double in his first game of 2020 vs. the Suns, as he continues to make father time irrelevant. Anthony Davis is providing them with a quiet 20 every night, and Kyle Kuzma (bad hair days aside) has taken a step forward as well, scoring-wise, but the team's lack of point guard play continues to be ever-apparent, with Alex Caruso sidelined for the game.

Former Lakers Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart return to Staples for the Pelicans tonight, and ironically, the former two have been the team's best players as of late.
Ingram was just named the league's Western Conference Player of the Week, averaging over 25 points per game on nearly 50% shooting. Lonzo's been balling out, too, and since being named the team's starter, the squad has gone 4-0, with the eldest Ball rippling the rim at 44% from three and 13.5 points a night.
