Lakers Met With Dion Waiters and Actually Haven't Ruled Out Signing Him
By Scott Rogust

The Los Angeles Lakers made a big decision on Sunday by signing former Detroit Pistons big man Markieff Morris. However, that may not be the last move the organization makes.
According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, the Lakers are exploring the possibility of signing Dion Waiters.

“They're going to give Dion a look. They had a meeting with him last week. I expect they will have a workout with him in the short-term and see what kind of condition he's in.” pic.twitter.com/HVA8VrqniG
The Lakers have been looking to add a shooter to their bench, as evidenced by their on-again, off-again link to JR Smith.
Waiters has had a season to forget, though. He was suspended on numerous occasions with the Miami Heat, including the team banning him for 10 games for consuming an edible on a team flight. As a result, Miami decided enough was enough and shipped him off to the Memphis Grizzlies in the Andre Iguodala trade, where Waiters was subsequently waived.

The shooting guard has played in just three games this season, averaging 9.3 points and 3.7 rebounds.
While a signing isn't a sure thing, the Lakers are at least mulling the option of brining in Waiters to see if he can help them go on a deep postseason run.
