Lakers Fans Are Seriously Painting a Kawhi Mural in LA Already

Lakers fans are seriously hoping to land Kawhi Leonard in free agency, so much so that some are taking matters into their own hands.

We all remember the LeBron mural that was painted in LA following his decision to join the Lake Show, well, as rumors of Kawhi Leonard's possible landing spot continue to swirl, Lakers fans are already painting a mural of the Finals MVP.

A bit premature, wouldn't you say?

It's perfectly fine to get excited over the possibility of one of the league's best players considering your team as an option, but putting up a mural when he's given as much thought to the Clippers as he has the Lakers is a bit hasty.

The Lakers, who consider themselves frontrunners for his services, are just one of the handful of teams that Leonard is expected to consider, including the Clippers, Nets, Knicks and Raptors.

Leonard is rightfully one of the most sought after players in the league. He put up 26.2 points per game in Toronto last season and was a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs, averaging 30.5 points and 9.1 rebounds per game on 49% shooting, all while playing stifling defense.

The mural is a creative way to try and persuade Leonard to join the team, but it's definitely premature and feels a bit over the top.

Hopefully this mural, regardless of whether or not it turns out to be true, doesn't get defaced like the ones of LeBron James did last year after he joined the team.
