The Brooklyn Nets currently sit in eighth place in the Eastern Conference and the much anticipated return of their superstar point guard could propel them up the standings.

It's been almost two months since Kyrie Irving suited up for the Nets, but he could return to action within a week despite previous gloomy reports surrounding his status.

Since Irving's injury, the Nets have gone a respectable 12-11 thanks to guard Spencer Dinwiddie, who is now averaging a fantastic 22.4 points and 6.2 assists per game.

However, it's clear the Nets' offense has been a bit more team-oriented, which could be affected by the return of Irving, who is a more ball-dominant player and isn't exactly known to distribute.

Perhaps now running the current offense and integrating Irving in a more fluid was could go a long way.

Whatever the case, things are looking better for the Nets on the injury front and fans have to be happy about the latest updates.
