Kyrie Irving 'Coward' Posters Spotted in Boston Before Nets-Celtics

Kyrie Irving's shoulder injury has held him out of the Brooklyn Nets' last seven games and is conveniently scheduled to keep him shelved for upcoming tilts against the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers, his former teams.

Well, the Nets are set to go to battle against the Eastern Conference-leading Celtics on Wednesday night, marking Irving's first return to Beantown since he departed for Brooklyn in free agency this past summer.

How are Boston buffs "welcoming" back the man who once asserted he could picture himself in a Celtics jersey for years into the future? By hanging "coward" posters with his face on them outside of TD Garden.

We wouldn't expect anything less from Celtics fans that are still likely exasperated by Kyrie's deception, even though the early stages suggest that the team is far more cohesive with Kemba Walker running the point.

That, however, wasn't the only "coward" sign spotted outside of TD Garden. Per ESPN's Malika Andrews, posters are sprawled up and down Legends Way.

In truth, we were looking forward to Irving's return to Boston ever since it was announced that he would be signing with the Nets. The fact that he is injured for the game tonight is a colossal disappointment.

Nevertheless, expect TD Garden to be rocking tonight.
