Kyler Murray Oddly Posts Congratulatory Message to MLB Draftees in Oakland A's Jersey

Not only was Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray the best player in college football last year, but he was apparently the ninth-best amateur baseball player in the world, as the Oakland A's burned the No. 9 overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft on the Oklahoma outfielder and quarterback.

As you know, Murray spurned the A's signing bonus and a potential guaranteed MLB contract for the glitz and glamour of the NFL. Even after that bold decision, Murray posted a photo of him in an A's jersey with a congratulatory message to all the MLB draftees.

Nice touch with the #NoNeedForTheSpeculation. At least he's saying that he doesn't have any resentment towards the A's for how that whole affair turned out.

The worst part of this whole saga if you're Billy Beane was the fact that they technically signed him to a contract and gave him a signing bonus, meaning they couldn't get a first-round pick as compensation for him picking football. I'm sure every A's fan is thrilled to see this reminder of what could have been all over social media.

At least Oakland retained his MLB rights. If a maybe 5-10, 195-pound quarterback doesn't work in the NFL, at least Kyler has a golden parachute set up with the A's.
