Anyone Linking John Calipari to the Knicks Job is Just Being Lazy

In what seems to have become an near-annual ordeal, the New York Knicks are yet again in search of a head coach.

One name that has repeatedly popped up as a possible candidate is Kentucky head coach John Calipari. However, unfortunately for anyone who has suggested as much, there's simply no chance that it happens.

Calipari is in the midst of yet another quality campaign with the Wildcats. He and his team seem destined for a run at glory come March with the NCAA basketball field completely wide open, and he just signed a massive extension with the school last year.

There's simply no reason for him to leave the program he's had so much success with for an absolute mess like the Knicks. It's lazy and uninspired to suggest that he'd even be remotely interested.

All evidence points to Coach Cal staying put. No matter how good of a fit he might be or how badly the Knick might need him, there's just no way he's going to give up one of the best jobs in basketball to be chewed up and spit out by the terribly-oiled machine that is James Dolan's franchise.
