The expected has become a reality for the Golden State Warriors.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Klay Thompson has been ruled out for Game 3 due to the hamstring injury he picked up in Game 2.

Reports earlier in the day indicated that despite Golden State's desire to rest him, Thompson was doing everything in his power to convince them to let him play. The decision came after the Warriors listed Thompson as "active" against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.

Thompson suffered a right hamstring strain in the fourth quarter of Game 2, causing him to hobble off the court and miss the remaining eight-plus minutes of the game. Despite his absence, the Warriors got the win, thanks to a dagger three-point shot from Andre Iguodala.

The Warriors have been hammered with injuries in these NBA Playoffs. First Kevin Durant, then Kevon Looney. Now, Klay Thompson joins the fray.
