VIDEO: Kirk Herbstreit Somehow Mispronounces 'Arkansas' on College Football Playoff Reveal Show
By Scott Rogust

The college football world had their eyes glued to their televisions and cell phones on Tuesday night to find out the new College Football Playoff rankings. As is the case every week, ESPN hosts a reveal show that releases the new rankings based off the results of the last set of games. Kirk Herbstreit is a regular on the show, and talked about the LSU Tigers' drop from the top spot to No. 2, pointing out their recent opponents like the Ole Miss Rebels and Arkansas Razorbacks. But what's sweeping the nation is Herbstreit's pronunciation of Arkansas.
Herbstreit really did say Ar-Kansas. pic.twitter.com/R5XbteLTSA

"Ar-kansas." Oh boy.
As everyone remembers from elementary school, the correct way to pronounce the Natural State is "Ar-kan-saw." When confronted by numerous Twitter users, Herbstreit revealed he was "just kidding," saying it as a nod to former LSU coach Les Miles.

That is always for Les!!
I never heard it that way until he said it. https://t.co/EApdAK6fap
While he did it to pay homage to Miles, Herbstreit no doubt regretted it due to the influx of messages he's currently receiving on social media.
