Kirby Smart shows love to Dan Lanning

It was quite the journey for Dan Lanning to land the head coaching gig at Oregon this year, but Kirby Smart isn't surprised it happened. The two had worked side by side for quite some time. Matter of fact, Lanning went from GA to head coach in seven years.

How did this happen? Well, it took a lot of hard work. Smart knows this, as he saw just how much effort Lanning puts into things.

Now that he's at Oregon, Lanning is ready to take the Pac-12 by storm. Smart will be rooting on his former assistant to do well on the west side of the country.
