Kevin Durant's free agency will be one of the most intriguing in recent memory, especially due to the Achilles injury he suffered in the postseason.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, only four teams are truly in play for KD this offseason; the Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors.

This isn't too much of a surprise, although it does rule the Lakers out of the Durant sweepstakes, not that there was much noise surrounding a move to join forces with LeBron.

Durant has been linked to the three new destinations heavily throughout the early part of the offseason, and staying in Golden State has never been out of question either.

It will be interesting to see who pitches the most enticing deal to KD, but if anything's clear, Durant wants to play ball in the spotlight, as a move to LA or New York would put him right in the center of the NBA's media circus.

David Aldridge reported Thursday evening that any meeting Durant takes will be held in New York, which could be an encouraging sign for the Knicks and Nets, though it's more likely to reduce the amount of traveling Durant has to do, given he has a torn Achilles.

As with every free agency case, only time will tell where Durant signs, but it's clear that he is seeking a big market and the spotlight with his next splash in the league.
