Kentucky Fans Should Revolt if Committee Doesn't Give Them No. 1 Seed After Winning SEC Regular Season Title

The Kentucky Wildcats have had themselves an otherworldly season, playing to the tune of a 24-5 record. Their win against Auburn on Saturday helped them clinch the regular season SEC title.

By all accounts, they have played like a No. 1 seed, and if the committee doesn't give them that honor heading into the NCAA Tournament, there should be hell to pay.

This team has played well all season. Out of their five losses, three of them were by three points. Even in the games that they've dropped, they've hung tight.

The Wildcats have also topped plenty of tough foes like Michigan State and Louisville. By all accounts, they've braved an incredibly strong schedule, something that can't be said of the rest of the contenders they're competing against.

Top squads like Gonzaga and Duke have suffered shocking blowout defeats down the stretch against teams that they truthfully had no business losing to.

No. 2 Baylor, for example, suffered a brutal upset at the hands of TCU, and the previously undefeated San Diego State squad lost to UNLV a week ago. While all of these teams have struggled on the precipice of the tournament, the Wildcats have just kept on plugging along.

This team is strong and consistent. When compared to the rest of the field, they have most definitely earned the honor of being a top seed, and if they don't end up as one, then the committee should be ashamed of itself.
