Kentucky's Ashton Hagans Suddenly Looks Seriously Jacked

Never underestimate the true power of a collegiate conditioning program! Ashton Hagans enjoyed an impressive freshman season for the Kentucky Wildcats in 2018, averaging just under 8 points and 4.3 assists for head coach John Calipari.

Nowhere near NBA-ready, however, the young guard elected to return for his sophomore season -- a tough decision for just about any former five-star recruit. But, it sure appears as though Hagans made a terrific judgement call as he looks JACKED in the first edition of summer workout photos.

Sheesh!

That's the kind of transformation you generally see Division 1 athletes formulate over three or four seasons. Hagans is listed at 192 pounds, but after his offseason workouts, he could be up in the 200's, with a lot more muscle to show off as well.

We can't be sure but it looks as if Hagans enjoyed protein shakes (and endless spinach) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Seriously, does this dude sleep in the weight room? How is it even possible to add that much muscle mass in less than four months?

Whatever the case, this conversion should have Hagans -- primarily known for his defensive tenacity last season-- instantly ready to have more of a say on the offensive side of things in 2019.

We truly fear for the safety of all his future opponents (and Wildcat teammates) that brazenly challenge him in the paint and at the rim.
