Karl-Anthony Towns Keeps Teasing Wolves' Potential D'Angelo Russell Signing

Could something big be brewing in Minnesota?

Timberwolves superstar and 2015 No. 1 overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns hasn't been shy about his courting of D'Angelo Russell, the Brooklyn Nets All-Star and restricted free agent who was selected with the No. 2 pick of that same draft. Now that Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are heading to Brooklyn, Russell could be on his way to Minnesota. KAT seems to be hinting at that possibility with a mysterious Instagram post.

A little D-Loading eh?

It would take some serious cap gymnastics from front office boss Gersson Rosas, but a D-Lo/KAT partnership could be must-see TV.

One way the the Wolves could free up space in order to bring in Russell is mercifully unloading Andrew Wiggins and his albatross contract, which could give them the $32 million in space they would need to secure a commitment from Russell.

The West will be especially difficult this season, but the Timberwolves might have enough to make the playoffs if they can bring Russell into the fold.
