Former Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks superstar Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has been the NBA's model citizen for the last few decades, given his historic dominance on the court and charitable nature off of it. Unfortunately, however, Kareem's son now finds himself on the wrong end of some serious assault charges after a stabbing incident near his home.

Abdul-Jabbar's son Adam, 28, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon after stabbing a neighbor Tuesday night.

Adam was taken into custody without incident, per police reports. Details about exactly what motivated the stabbing have yet to be made public.

Per reports, the victim drove themselves to the hospital and is currently being treated for several non-life threatening injuries. Representatives for both Kareem and Adam could not be reached for comment.

While this is an extremely unfortunate situation for all parties involved, the infinitesimally small silver lining is that the victim did not suffer life-threatening injuries when things could have gone much worse.
