The matchup against the Mountaineers represents their first conference game of the season, and a win would help them work their way to the top of the Big 12 standings.

Not to be outdone, though, the Mountaineers have had an equally solid start to the year. They're 11-1 so far, with their lone loss coming at the hands of St. John's in a 70-68 thriller. Outside of that, they've been every bit up to the task, and that won't change in this game against the Jayhawks.

West Virginia enters play with a defensive rating of 85.8, good for 15th in the nation. If they can play some solid defense against their conference rivals, then college basketball fans everywhere could be in for yet another exciting upset.
