Justin Bieber Calls Out Arkansas QB Nick Starkel in Instagram Story

Though we often count on them to be stable, most athletes have some crazy traditions and superstitions that they follow before every game. For some, it's a lucky wrist band or knee pad. For Arkansas quarterback Nick Starkel, it was wearing a Justin Bieber t-shirt underneath his jersey, from the first snap to the final whistle. Sure!

On Saturday, the Razorbacks lost to the San Jose State Spartans by the score of 31-24, and Starkel decided it was time for a change. That's right, the Bieber fan is ditching his lucky shirt.

And "The Biebs" himself was not too thrilled to hear about it, based on his latest Instagram story.

To clarify, for those of you who don’t know: Starkel’s a Bieber fan and has been wearing a Bieber shirt under his jersey for over a year now in an attempt to get his attention, but after last night’s loss he got rid of it because he considered it a distraction

We're sure Starkel never thought that his favorite singer would find out about the maneuver and express his utter disappointment to his MILLIONS of followers. But yet, here we are.

After starting off the season 1-1, Arkansas got their second win of the season last weekend, in a 55-34 win over Colorado State. However, they crashed back down to reality against the Spartans on Saturday, giving Starkel the idea to move onto some new superstitions.

Now, Starkel will look to make Justin Bieber proud again via his play on the field, and some wins for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
