Josh Norman's Tenure in Washington Could Be Over After He Didn't Travel for Week 17

Josh Norman's play has been in decline ever since he parted ways the Panthers following their loss to the Broncos is Super Bowl 50. He signed with the Washington Redskins the following season and has been unable to replicate the success he had in Carolina back in 2015.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Norman did not make the trip to Dallas for the team's Week 17 matchup due to an illness. The cornerback's time in Washington may be coming to an end after another poor season in which he was eventually benched.

Norman lost his starting job to Fabian Moreau in Week 12. Despite still perceiving himself as an elite corner, it seems like the Skins will likely cut him loose this offseason.

His inability to return to his All-Pro form as well as his delusions that he is still one of the best defensive backs in the league are two things that a rebuilding team like Washington does not need.

The Redskins will be very thin in the secondary against the Cowboys with Norman, Moreau, Landon Collins, and Montae Nicholson all unavailable for the contest.

With Norman not making the trip to Dallas, he won't even be in attendance for what may very well be the final game of his Redskins' tenure.
